Shared Pointers for Apple Silicon - 0.3.0 alpha 1

Experimental native macOS app. Requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer),
macOS 11 or later, and Discord's desktop app. Intel Macs are not supported by
this download. Python and the required libraries are included; no Python,
Xcode, or developer account installation is needed.

INSTALL
1. Unzip the download. Keep "Install Shared Pointers.command" beside
   "Shared Pointers.app".
2. Open "Install Shared Pointers.command", read the Terminal message and press
Return. It copies the app to your personal Applications folder. If an older
copy exists, it is preserved with a dated name.
3. The installer applies a local ad-hoc signature for bundle integrity. This
is not an Apple Developer ID signature or Apple notarization. It does not
disable Gatekeeper, remove quarantine, or grant any privacy permission.
4. If macOS blocks the installer or app because the developer cannot be
verified, only proceed if you trust this download: after attempting to open
it, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway. Apple explains
this at https://support.apple.com/en-ie/102445 . Do not proceed on a malware
or damaged-app warning; contact support instead.

SETUP
Open Shared Pointers from ~/Applications. Use its menu-bar icon for settings,
pause and quit. Sign in with Discord, enable pointers, and join a server voice
channel in which the Shared Pointers Discord app is installed.

Presenter: select the display you share and share that entire display in
Discord. Viewer: open the stream full screen in Discord's desktop app, hold
Control + Option and move your mouse. Release either key to stop pointing.
Choose the presenter from the "Point at" menu if several people are streaming.
Pause immediately from the menu bar, or press Control + Shift + F12 (your
keyboard may also require Fn for F12).

Allow Input Monitoring for Shared Pointers when requested, then restart the
app if macOS asks. This is used to detect the pointing shortcut. The companion
does not send keyboard events, clicks, audio or video. It sends pointer
coordinates only while you actively point in a full-screen Discord window.
Share the entire selected display to include the separate pointer overlay.

This Mac port has been assembled and checked statically on Windows. Its Cocoa
UI, privacy prompts, Keychain storage, hotkeys and Discord overlay capture
still require a real-Mac test. Do not treat this alpha as a verified release.
Use the "Run Mac check" button in the app to check the overlay, Keychain and
Input Monitoring status. Then test pointing during an actual Discord stream.
The app uses https://api.pointer.digitalnatives.ie ; users do not host a server
or enter bot tokens. A Discord session is associated with one companion at a
time; signing in on a second computer may disconnect the first.

UNINSTALL
Quit from the menu bar, remove Shared Pointers.app from ~/Applications, and
remove ~/Library/Application Support/SharedPointers if you want to erase local
settings. Sign out in the app first to revoke its server session. Sign-in
credentials are stored in your macOS Keychain; the app's Sign out removes its
own saved entry. Remove any login item you manually added in System Settings.

The archive includes component licenses and a build provenance manifest.
The unmodified Python runtime is from python-build-standalone release 20261026.
Its build sources, patches and dependency definitions are available from:

The archive's BUILD-PROVENANCE.json identifies exact upstream assets and hashes.
The runtime license notices and PyObjC/websockets/certifi license text remain
included with their components. Runtime license notices cover all supported
upstream configurations; not every listed component is used on macOS.
If no window or menu icon appears, a bootstrap error log may be available at
~/Library/Logs/SharedPointers-launch.log. This file is local to your Mac.
